Ellesmere Heronwatch

Ellesmere Heronwatch is run entirely by award winning volunteers without whom it would not happen. For nearly 30 years, we have been studying the herons at Ellesmere, and helping the public to view these fascinating birds in the wild.
We started with a couple of telescopes, but now we use state of the art video cameras to view and record all the action, 24 hours a day.
If you would like to help us out by becoming a volunteer, just contact us.
(full training is given)

A few years ago, Ellesmere Heronwatch volunteers won an award for "outstanding contribution" to community services.

So thank you to all our volunteers
(and thank you to Shropshire Council for giving us the award!)
